Tourism in the UK and the Western Isles
More and more areas of the world, which had previously been difficult to access to did not allow visitors, are becoming popular with tourists. The is also renewed interest in vacation destinations which were once popular in the distant past (the reasons for such renewed interest could be the resolution of war or something similar). The Western Isles of Scotland are one of the most unique places in the world today which are seeing increased numbers of tourists visiting each year.
Scotland's Castles, Balmoral
The tourist industry is now so great in Scotland that it is a major part of the nation's economy. Part of the nation's appeal is it's wonderful countryside but it is Scotland's incredible history which helps create a vacation that is full of excitement, exploration and adventure. One of the main Scottish tourist attractions is Edinburgh Castle but there are a great many more castles in Scotland open to the public including Balmoral Castle in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire.

The tourism industry is continually seeking out new vacation destinations to satisfy the ever increasing demands of the modern tourist however many are also taking a new interest in places which have been popular destinations of the past. The reasons for the decline in the areas popularity with tourist may not be applicable today (such reasons could include such things as wars ending). The Western Isles of Scotland are one of the most fascinating and beautiful places, in the world, which are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of folk taking vacations there.
