  • Control Software Homage: The whole scoop-00-5721  By : Jon-St
Control software homage is a big problem to deal with now adays.

Before I jump into why control software homage is so scary, I want to first explain to you what it is. Quite simply, control software homage is the act of a software calling home with your user information. This software will often collect or gather your information and then send it via the internet to the software owner's servers.

You can see control software homage being used all the time in all types of softwares. This software includes casino related items, weight loss products, parental softwares, and even some cheaper browser softwares, (do not worry, Internet Explorer and Firefox do not perform control software homage!)

When it comes to these other products though, the biggest fear is not what the companies will see, but what type of information they will get. They begin to learn all about your searching habits. Worse, software control homage allows them to obtain private passwords and online banking information. With the recent rise in identity theft cases, and even worse, the recent rise in stolen funds from bank accounts through forged debt cards, it is no wonder that control software homage has become a millionaire dollar a year industry!

This banking information is later sold to third countries for identity theft purposes.

The rule of thumb when it comes to finding control software homage is to see whether or not the software selling page itself mentions this problem. Let me put it this way. They would be stupid to perform control software homage and let you know about it.

They would be stupid to do this for many reasons:

1.) Mentioning something is like asking for the FBI to check them out. If they mentioned they do not employ control software homage, then this means that there has not been one case filed against them in this regard. Control software homage is a very serious offense, and it is a criminal matter. If any software is using this method, then trust me, they will be investigated by the FBI.

2.) By mentioning control software homage, they are also stating they are a local American grown company. I say this because the only way these other big companies get away with doing what they do is by doing it in countries were the laws are not as strict. If these companies were based in America, the FBI would have shut them down a long time ago.

And that is where the second red flag factor should come into play for you. Does the company admit to storing any data collected from your computer in their databases or on their servers? If it does, then it is highly recommend that you stay away from these companies as there is no doubt in my mind that control software homage is being performed by them.

  • 5 Parenting Trends That Affect How We Communicate About Childcare  By : Aruni Gunasegaram
The more things change the more they stay the same.
