Your Introduction to Succes with eBooks

By: Ken Trueman

I got to thinking about Internet marketing the other day, (I often do).
Trying to categorise how many basic types of success formulas there can possibly be.
The results (in my head of course) were not anything radical, on the contrary.
How many different ways are there out there that we can use to establish our presence on the Internet marketing scene?
You may come up with a different answer but I came up with just two.

1. Someone elses products.
2. Your own products.

In reality Internet marketing is no different to the real World marketplace then.
Shops and malls sell other peoples products, much the same as Affiliates.
Businesses manufacture and sell their own products to retail outlets or other manufacturers, as part of their product.
Similar to Software producers in our Internet marketplace.

So, how do you decide which route to take?
This is not a decision you have to make, inevitably you need to take both options to maximise your success.

Unlike businesses in the everyday marketplace, your business is run from a Web site, which is easy and inexpensive to set up.
The hardest part of this is getting shoppers through the door, Traffic in other words.

So you have a chioce to make now. Do you set up a site dedicated to one product or a site advertising a load of products?
This is where the comparison starts to change a little, in my experience shops and malls have started selling everything they can cram on the shelves and tend not to spacialise as much as they used to do.
The Internet marketer however seems to going down the other route, sites that are trying to sell a host of different products seem to be disappearing and the spacialist sites are growing.

The reasons for this are very varied but I think the main reason is the use of keywords, it is easier to use a small amount of related, dedicated keywords that Search engines love to index.
This method goes hand in hand with dedicated one product Web sites.
This drives more traffic for you.

You can also use these same keywords in Articles you write that are related to your product and on Social Networking sites. Both these methods will get you good backlinks to your site.

Forums are another way to achieve links back to your site as long as they are related to your product.

Setting up a Blog is also a good way to get links back to your site, and these are under your control too, you put the links in yourself. The problem is the links may not be worth a lot, unless your Blog is indexed highly by the Search engines, still, any link is better than no link.

Possibly the best way to drive traffic to your site is to set up and use a good affiliates page. Think seriously about using Clickbank or Pay.com for attracting affilaites, a plus here is that you don't need a secure delivery system set up to deliver your products, both these sites take care of that for you.

Provide e-mails, Blog posts and Banners for your affiliates to use to promote your product.
Make it really easy for anyone wishing to sell for you and you can expect these Banners to start appearing ariund the Internet, all these banners are links back to your sales page and are indexed by Search engines, improving yous site popularity and giving you a higher index rating.

Of course, to achieve all this you need your own product and I can help here.
