Women Golfers - Learn Just Like the Big Boys Do!

Every one enjoys the game of golf but when you don't play well, it just isn't any fun. Therefore, you owe it to yourself to work on your game every minute you get, but that does not mean just when you are out on the course. You have to take the time to work on your golf game every day of the week - on and off the golf course. In that way, you will be ready to compete when it comes time to play with all of your friends.

You can learn the greens, learn your weaknesses and strengths, and view how you react under pressure. On the range, you can work on developing your swing and figure out how far you may be able to hit each club. Even on the green, you can work on your feel and your ability to determine a grain or read the grass.

If you were a runner, you would probably train before ever going out to compete against another. If you were a person who swims, you might swim miles and miles before competing another swimmer. But the same is usually not true for most people who play golf. For golfers, practice does not take place. They may warm up before a round, but is all.

Alas, the best golf practice may well take place in the weight room. The sport of golf may seem like a leisurely sport sport, but it uses many parts of physical fitness. One's aerobic capacity is important because the amount of walking that takes place over a few hours. The average course is almost four miles long, and a round of golf means a lot of mileage on the feet.
Strength is also a part of the sport because of the many times you will swing the club during a single round. Even if you are hitting 80 or below, you are still swinging a club several hundred times in a round. You need a lot of power to swing without pain or deterioration of swing.The best training for golf is rarely done out on the fairways, and it isn't always done on the range either. But, that isn't to say that there are not great habits made on the golf course.
All Golf training really ought start in the gym. Improve your aerobic power and bodily strength and you can see an incredible improvement in your game.
