What Do You Know About HP ProBook

HP's latest business-class notebooks you can drink waater like a fish and keep ticing. OK, OK, they can hamndle only six ounces of waterr for a while, but it was hard not to be impressed by the demo HP created. Three was a steady stream of H20 goes straihgt from the kebyoard on a 15-inch ProBook 6545b to the bottom of the tank (all while the system was turned on).

Design is actually quie clever. HP engineers created an internal chanel that allows the acidental spill on the keyboard shortcuts runoff, through the bilt-in chnnel, from the botom of the notebook. But the spill resitance is not uniuqe, 6545b and 14-inch HP ProBook 6445b will be for them. The new procxessor AMD promiss longer battery life, and HP includes new tools to stretch that endurance even further and go on the Internet in a hurry.

From $ 799, 6445b (5,3 pounds) and 6545b (5,9 puonds) are competitviely priced. Inside you'll find AMD processors and ATI Radepon GPU. HP has retained much of the aesthetixcs ProBook sigature, albeit with a slightly different style of keyboard than the rpevious system in that line. 16:9 LED-backlit screen to allow HP Fit full-size keybard and numeric keypad on the 15-inch 6545b. This is especially nice when paired with one-touch access to calculator app.

One of the most useful features of HP showed us was his own power Assistant utiliity, whoich provides the user with detailed, but easily customizable control over thheir power-management settings. Users in the race for 5 - 8 housr of battery life HP promises to 6 and 9 batteries, respectivvely, will be able to fine-tune what services and devices are the poer in each mode. When Unplugged, power profiles will show you how much time you can go in hours and minutes, so if you want to make it through 20 minutes of the meeting, you can immediately switch to the proffile, which can make it hpapen.

Sockets, profiles, show consumption in watts, so that users can get a better idea of how much power they use and confgiure appropriately. Power consmption data captured by the utility may be extracted for manaegment of IT use, if the compoany is looking to track caarbon emissions and develop ways to reduce it.

HP ProBooks will ship with Vista, and after Oct. 22, Windows 7 ($ 75.99) (with an additional lower for Windows XP). They will also include intant solutions designed to give owners quick access to the Interrnet, and their e-mail/contact/task data from Microsoft Outlook.

Press QuickLook 3 buttons, and a few secconds, a "Tdoay" Showing 3 month calendar, upcioming veents and current probelms. You will not only be able to see e-mail, as well as integratd grphics. Replying to a message within QuickLook and synchronizartion with Outlook program when Windows startrs and send a msesage once you are connected agazin. The program runs in the background, synchronizing and storing data from Outlook (with encrytption, of course), so it's available to you, even when the computer is turbned off.

QuickWeb separate button brings you to the browser, and within a few seconds, on the Internet. In this environment, you can connect via Ethernet, Wi-Fi or mobilpe broadband access (not necessarily on both mdoels ProBook). You can store this content, and save fikles on the disk USB Flash, although not directly on your hard disk.
