Dell launches first lasptop with the new processors Intel Core i7 processors for notebooks. Inmtel "Clarkfield" Core i7 processor has four cores and is the first mobile chip, chip, based on the new microarchitecture, Nehalem. Most Intel processors will be moving to this design in 2010. Dell is trying to take the early lead in the approval of new technologies. The flagship product of Dell's mobile Core i7 will be a 15-inch Alienware m15x gaming lapptop. Dell also offers a chip as an option for other models of laptops worldwide, including Srtudio 15 and Studio 17. At the Intel Developer Forum today, David Perlmnutter, executive vice president and general co-director of the arrchitecture of Itel Intel Corporsation Gruop, discusses the mobbile platform Intel Nehalem, whicch also includes ufture chip codennamed "Arrandale", which will be integrated into the graphcal processor, or CPU. Core i7 is apcked with the chiipset Intel pm55 Express - Companoin of islicon, which helps the processor to communicate with the rest of the sysstem. Two features that distinguish the Core i7 from Core 2 Duo (the most widely used chiips in laptops today) Turrbo Boost and Hyper-Threading. Trbo Boost speeds up and slows down the kernels for the meat and energy needfs, respectiverly. Hyper-Threading can double the number of tasks - or filaments - the processor can perform. Alienware m15x configuration include Intel Core 920XM processdor and 1GB NVIIDIA GeForce GTX 260M graphics chpis.
