In the past ladies who carried a little more meat on their bones bones were considered attractive. It used to be that a woman with curves was considered beautiful. Unfortunately, past is past, and time machines are still fiction, so there is no other way out but to abide by the present standard of beauty - and that is being THIN. Models in the world of fashion have stopped trying to become size zeros. The size to be, as crazy as it may sound, is negative to which would take a lifetime for some to achieve. But how, in today's modern world with its hectic lifestyles, can anyone remain slender--or even in good physical condition? Time is always of the essence, and with people as busy as ever, many can't afford the luxury of spending a lot of time on things. Spending enough time on food is not even an option to many. People rely on fast foods which are oftentimes high in fats and calories - enemies of staying fit. Not all have the enthusiasm to go and stay on strict diet or exercise plans. I wonder if this means that a lot (I am one of those many) Does the idea of a fashion-runway-ready body without surgery or even great effort seem like an impossible dream? ABSOLUTELY NOT. There can be a bit of hope left for those who want to wear a cute bikini. The answer lies inside your own body; you can turn it into a machine that burns fats in itself by increasing its metabolic rate. Contrary to popular belief, skipping meals and extreme fasting are not great ways to lose weight effectively. Actually, it decreases our metabolism yet more. When people go on a very strict diet, they lessen their protein and energy intake, two things that the body needs to burn calories. While we are at a state of rest, this protein, stored in our lean muscles, burns the excess calories in our bodies. Lesser protein means lesser action in our body that when continued results in slow metabolic rate. Other culprits are poor sleeping habits, going too long between meals, and eating too much at one time. One suggestion is to eat small meals every 2 or 3 hours, depending on our activity level, to keep our bodies constantly fed with energy, thus keeping all of our systems running and burning any calories that are not needed by our bodies. Making your body more active by getting exercise would also be helpful. Unfortunately, regular exercise routines are not for everybody. It isn't a bad plan to do basic moves which develop the major muscle groups. The moves are the bench press, squat, and dead lift, and they need to be performed two to three times per week for a minimum of half an hour. Doing these simple exercises is like doing a complete body workout, less time spent on them can already do magic. So try working on your metabolism before you go out and buy the newest exercise machine or go on the latest diet and get great results with less effort.
