Anyone who has ever suffered from Hyperhidrosis has been insecure or embarrassed at one time or another. Even if you've done a good job hiding it, you had to wear 3 or 4 layers of clothing, which possibly made it worse. Both genders can have this problem, but there are ways to stop excessive sweating and prevent it from coming back. However, before you can even attempt to deal with this problem, you need to understand the difference between normal sweating and excessive sweating. What it comes down to is our body needs to sweat. You may be working out, working hard, or maybe even not working at all for the sweating to begin. When your body temperature rises, it simply triggers some sort of release. People who have an excessive sweating problem have problems with sweating when they aren't nervous. They sweat when the temperatures are cool, and just regular daily activities cause a lot of sweating for them. These are the people who really want to stop excessive sweating. Then again, it could be something that is hereditary. If you find out this is the case, then the word "Hyperhidrosis" may come to mind. However, it's also important to understand that there are different types of hyperhidrosis. You can either have the version that makes you continuously sweat in certain locations, known as localized Hyperhidrosis, or all over the body. As we mentioned, there are other physical problems that can cause excessive sweating to occur. A few of these problems can include cancer, heart disease, or thyroid problems. It's important to rule out these problems before you try methods to stop excessive sweating. This is why it may be a good idea to see a physician about the problems that you are dealing with. One thing that you can do to help stop excessive sweating is to avoid situations that are very stressful. Often these situations can make your problem worse. The problem is that for some people this turns into a fear of being in social situations. While your self esteem may be low, you don't want to become a hermit, so it is a good idea to work on your fear of being in public. This way you make social situations more stressful for yourself, leading to even more sweating. Another step to take is asking your doctor about stronger deodorants. No one wants to stink, and no one wants to have everyone looking at their underarms and neck area all day long. Regular deodorants may not have the proper ingredients for you, which is why it's important to utilize stronger versions. Just remember to ask about the side effects before trying this step. You may not think about this, but changing the way you eat could make all the difference as well. Grab a pencil and paper, then write down your weekly food intake. Also keep track of the times when your Hyperhidrosis is out of control. When you compare the two you may find that a certian food may need to be taken out of your diet. There are definitely many things you can do to help deal with the sweating problem. If you want to totally stop excessive sweating though, you are best to look for natural treatments. This way you avoid nasty chemicals and dangerous treatments that may not even work. Going with natural options is the best way to stop excessive sweating for good.
