-Worms This is a type of software that copies itself on to another computer by using a hole in security. It can spread itself easily without a host program. Sometimes, it spreads like what a Trojan horse does, and so it is advisable not to try to open attachments in suspicious emails.

-Spyware and Adware Both are types of malware, which is a type of software that may be installed on to your computer; it collects information and infiltrates programs without the knowledge of the owner.

Listed below are the following ways to protect computer against virus.

1. Install anti-virus software! This has to be the number 1 thing you can do to protect yourself. Whether it's a paid or free program, install a reputable anti-virus program that automatically updates itself against new viruses.

2. Keep your firewall turned on and your operating system updated. Also, to avoid corruption, make regular backups of all your data.

3. Use spyware removal software to search your computer for hidden spyware or adware, and clean your computer from any hidden malware programs.

4. Avoid the following kinds of websites: pornographic sites, Illegal downloading sites (eg. movies/music), and any other websites that may contain harmful programs. By downloading movies and songs, you are may be inviting viruses to download to your computer. Also remember to scan all USB's and disks before using them.

Whenever you use your computer, always be cautious with unknown files or suspicious software.
