Supplement companies rake in billions of dollars every year, and new products enter the market on a daily basis. This had made it incredibly difficult to sort out the good supplements from the bad. Unfortunately, most supplements are complete crap! They are just hyped up products that do nothing other than steal your hard earned money from your pocket. However, there is some good news. There are a few great supplements that will improve your vertical leap and also help you recover faster between workouts. Now, let's cut through the clutter and narrow down the supplements that you should get, and also identify those that you should avoid at all cost. Remember that supplements should not replace your current diet. As the name suggests, they should only 'supplement' your current diet. If you take supplements without a good diet consisting of well balanced meals, you won't see any improvements in your vertical jump. My top 3 vertical jump training supplements are whey protein, creatine, and multi-vitamins. Whey protein is great because it is high quality protein that builds muscle quickly. It is especially important if weightlifting is part of your regular workout. Creatine is arguably the most tested supplement in sports history, and has been proven to improve athletic performance. It works by letting your muscles absorb more water and thereby helping you workout longer and harder. It exists in several forms, but any form will work in the same way as long as it's from a reputable brand. Multi-vitamins are CRUCIAL in your diet, especially if you don't get enough of it in your regular diet. If you don't get enough fruit and vegetables, you need to get some multi-vitamins. They ensure that your body functions at peak condition, and help with everything from recovery to muscle building. Now, lets discuss the supplements you should STAY WAY FROM. These supplements are easy to spot. They are full of hype, and tell you that you will gain 5 inches in your vertical jump without training at all! These supplements don't work for one simple reason. There is NO WAY in hell that you can jump higher by simply taking a supplement and not doing any physical activity. If that was the case, we would all be pro athletes making millions. Avoid these supplements at all cost: Vertical Blast, Adenotrex, and any other 'hyped up' supplement. Now, don't get me wrong. Most of these hyped up supplements usually contain creatine, and other chemicals that help in training and recovery. However, simply taking them without training will NOT make you jump higher. There are many places where you can buy supplements. You can find stores in your local mall or shop online. I usually get mine online, because I have found their prices to be cheaper. In conclusion, if you have a good daily diet consisting of balanced meals, you do not need supplements. However, if you don't have time to prepare these meals, using supplements is the next best option. To learn more about how to jump higher and improve your vertical leap, check out my website.
