Halloween
There are a number of terrifying and blood curdling events taken place across Devon to celebrate that most unique time of year, Halloween. Events range from terrifying trails at some of the grandest and most spooky castles in Devon to pumpkin fun with wooly sheep.

Farmers Markets
Towns and cities right across Devon celebrate the fantastic local produce on offer with regular Farmers Markets. The markets are a great place to pick up some truly delicious produce and home made goods.

Exeter Christmas Gifts Market
Every Friday and Saturday from Fri 27th November to 19th December 2009
A wide range of Christmas gifts will be available at the annual Christmas gift market in Fore St and South St. the market forms part of many activities taken place in Exeter throughout the festive period.

Exeter Autumn Festival
Sun 31st October - Sun 15th November 2009
The Exeter Festival is two weeks packed with music, comedy, theatre, art, performance and dance. Highlights include Rossini's opera Petite Messe Solenelle, comedy from Sean Percival and Rhod Gilbert and classic children's favourite The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

The Tar Barrels
Thur 5th November 2009, Ottery St Mary
Every year in the East Devon town of Ottery St Mary one of the most bizarre event in the UK takes place. The Tar Barrels is a unique West Country Tradition stretching back more than 400 years. Men, women and children in the town carry the burning barrels on their back through the street as part of the November 5th celebrations.

North Devon FoodFest
Sun 18th October 2009
This years FoodFest promises to titillate the test buds with a range of delicious food and drink all on offer as well as top local produce. As if all that food wasn't enough there is a live chef's demonstration and live music too.

Two Moors Festival
Thurs 8th October - Sun 18th October 2009
Some of the world's finest classical performers come to Exmoor and Dartmoor to perform in a series of concerts. Artist performing this year include baritone Wolfgang Holzmair, Brazilian Guitar duo Marina Piccinini and violinist Waley-Cohen.

These are just a sample of the many fantastic events taking place right across Devon this autumn. With Christmas just around the corner too expect plenty more festive treats as Devon becomes a winter wonderland.
