Self Images - Ways To Improve Yours

Self image is what helps puts ideas in our mind with regard to our personality and other qualities. It is self image which we use to regard ourselves with. If you have a more positive self image then you will have more self esteem.
If your self image is low then this will affect your live and in some cases makes a person feel as if they are worthless. But through thinking about ones good qualities one can actually boost one's self image. It is these qualities that help to make us stronger and help us to make the important changes to one's self image.
There are certain ways in which one can boost one's self image:
1. Look at those situations which are causing you problems and affecting your self image. There may be aspects of your personality which are weak and through the effort of making changes can be dealt with.
One can change these aspects of our personality and so add a new spark to one self. Doing this will definitely helping a person to boost their self image. As weaknesses are part of our lives on a daily basis we need to know how to deal with them. If we can then we change a weak point in our personality into a stronger one instead.
2. Sometimes thoughts will appear in our minds with regard to a certain situation or person that leads us to have a low self image. It may be that you feel someone is better able to do something than you. With this not only will you feel nervous but will lead you to having doubts about what you are capable of doing.
Why not try and spend some time observing these thoughts. But be aware that often when we talk to ourselves in order to get rid of such thoughts they may have a negative feel to them and this can lead to a decrease in your self image as well.
3. A low self image can cause physical, behavioral or emotional problems in a person. They may find that their appetite alters, they have difficulty controlling their anger or they just suffer from headaches. In order to prevent such problems one needs to avoid thinking negative thoughts regarding oneself.
Try to work out what your thought patterns are. See whether they are of a positive or negative nature or if they are logical and worthy. But you need to remember that your thoughts don't always have to flow in the right direction.
If you are someone who criticizes everything that you do then you will soon begin to development low self image feelings. It is crucial that you should try and feel good about yourself all the time. Not only will you feel the effect of these positive vibes but those around you will as well.
As we all know we are all unique and have certain qualities that nobody else will have. If you want to increase your self image then you need to learn how to respect yourself and the unique qualities you have. A person with a healthy self image will find it much easier to overcome difficult situations and deal with certain problems.
Some people develop an inferiority complex because their feelings of low self image are persistent. If not avoided an inferiority complex can cause dramatic differences to one's personality. It is through a person's personality and actions that they do that their self image will be reflected and you need to remember to try and keep your self image intact.
As well as your self image, the beliefs you have play an important role in shaping the life you have. From when we were children certain values will have been instilled into us and these form the basis of the beliefs we have. Sometimes the beliefs that we have are merely a reflection of the thoughts of our parents or from the society in which we live.
As we grow up, some of our beliefs change because we become exposed to the outside world. These beliefs eventually shape what will be our deepest thoughts and wishes. These beliefs are very important to us as they may form the basis for someone else's beliefs. We all believe in and trust the ones we love and this is the strongest belief that we have and which is very hard to break.
However some of the beliefs we have are contradictory to others and could lead to changes in your life that results in hurdles being placed in your way. If you want to lead a life that is happy and satisfying then you will need to make some changes to these beliefs you have. Also self belief is an important part of one's beliefs and to develop a better self image one needs to have faith and belief in oneself.
When you are getting rid of beliefs that are obstructing your path, make sure that you replace them with new beliefs immediately. These beliefs should be the type which you really believe in and aren't just a manifestation of someone else's thoughts or beliefs.
We all have a belief system and this will impact greatly on the decisions we make and our actions. Such beliefs are very powerful and will also affect our surroundings. Many of will fight for our beliefs and tend to dislike it when others try to influence the opinions that we have.
The strong beliefs which we develop in relation to a certain issue much be done in accordance with certain values that we have. You can make your beliefs stronger or weaker by looking at how important, accurate and worthy they are to you. For those who want to alter their way of thinking to improve their life then understanding the importance of self image and beliefs is crucial.
