Another option in this category to reduce the auto transport cost is ‘terminal-to-terminal service’. In this service the vehicles will be loaded at a terminal point and unloaded and sometimes transferred, and you can drive your vehicle from that point to your place so the overall service cost is cheaper than ‘door-to-door service’. Another important thing is make sure that your vehicle is properly insured while shipping. The shipping company may offer cover for your vehicle and they may charge an extra fee. But check with your insurance dealer whether this cover is adequate. Here if you use your own auto insurance cover you can save auto shipping money. Please note that some vehicle shipping companies will charge an extra fee if your vehicle cannot be driven. This is because it is difficult for them to load and unload a vehicle which cannot be driven. So make sure your vehicle is in working condition.
