Reebok I-run Treadmill Review and Information

By: Roberto Bell

Reebok entered the home fitness market back in 1998 and are now a trusted brand in the treadmill market. The Reebok i-run treadmill is part of the i-series range from Reebok, basically the lower end, casual fitness end of the market.

One of the key features of the i-run treadmill is that it should be thoroughly space saving when not in use and to be honest it does this really well. The i-run truly folds up. When folded, the machine I have at home sits approximately 30 centimetres from the wall. So you can truly push it into a corner in the room if necessary.

There appears to be a fascination with getting things in multi-colour variations and the i-run doesn't disappoint as it is availble in white, black, pink, red, orange and blue. I have the blue at home. Setup literally took five minutes. The hardest part was dragging the treadmill from the box.

Reebok i-run treadmill features
So what features does the i-run running machine have. First off, it has a 1.75HP motor. This is fairly standard for a treadmill in this price bracket and I wouldn't recommend getting a smaller motor. It is recommended that the maximum user weight is 100kg (220llb), this is usually dictated more by the motor than the frame of the machine.

The on-board computer is really large, well-lit and has sufficient programmes. You can set it to run for a certain time, run until you've burnt off calories, or until you've reached a certain distance. You can obviously set the speed that you want to run at also. On the handle there is also a heart rate monitor so you can check your pulse whilst exercising.

On the negative side, I'd say that the running mat would be a little small at 40 x 120cm for people with larger feet. I've read other reviews that have complained that the motor is overly noisy, but personally I didn't notice this to be a problem.

Reebok i-run treadmill in conclusion
This treadmill is a great little machine for the casual user that hasn't got a great deal of space albeit it's still heavy to move. It has a decent warranty of two years and all the features you'd expect for a running machine of this cost.
