RAID serves for the increase of durability of storage of data and for the rev-up of reading or recording information. So, we have found that RAID is a way of renewal of errors of hard disk, based on the fact, that two or more hard disks work parallel. Every disk contains piece of information, essential for the renewal of integral set of data only. Information for a record on each single disk is divided on the so-called bars of different capacity and attended additional bits for the recovery of errors. If there is a failure in work of one of disks, information can be recovered on a new disk, using support of other disks of array. Depending on a rank (from 0 to 7) the different types of uniting disks are given: RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 2, RAID 3, RAID 4, RAID 5. You should know that each type of RAID may fail and then you will have to recover your database without unerase of information.
