For example, it's important that you can "zoom in" on the trumpets or any other instrument and only listen to what the trumpets do in a song. Understand how this impacts the whole song, and so on. This will later allow you to "reverse engineer" your own great songs.

Composing a song is a creative process but it also does involve work. Music composing software allows you to focus on the creative part, because it does a lot of the work for you at least, if it is a good program. One of the most important features of any music composing program is that it is easy to use, and that it has an intuitive user-interface. So many people end up frustrated because they spend a lot of money on a product that can do all the things they want but after they installed the program and want to get started using it, they find that it simply is too difficult to use.
