When you think of Cornwall surfing might not be the first thing that comes to mind, but it's a great place to learn to do just that. It's actually famous for its surfing beaches. For surprisingly little money, you can get a one-day surfing experience that you'll never forget. For the price you pay, your instructor will meet up with you on Harlyn beach and issue you a board, a wetsuit, and any other equipment that you might need. You'll decide on the specific surfing location for the day and then you're ready to have some fun and learn a new skill. You don't have to worry about not knowing what you're doing, because everyone is coached right on the beach before they get in the water, and then they are taught in either waist-deep or chest-deep water to keep them safer. Your surfing instructor will be right there with you all the time. You'll surf for awhile, have a lunch break, and then do some more surfing until it's time to wrap it up for the day. Just be aware that the surf conditions and the weather can affect your experience, and that can't be helped. If you want to bring some friends they are welcome to watch you from the beach, and you'll want to be sure to bring your swimsuit, a towel, sun block, warm clothing for when you are finished for the day, sunglasses, and some money to eat lunch. You can get souvenir photographs, and the beaches have toilet facilities and cafes where you can get something to eat. Some of these cafes may be closed in the off-season, so if you're going at a generally quiet time of year for beach activity you might want to ask about facilities when you make your reservations. If you aren't sure about anything regarding the cafes, contact them directly to see if they will be open and what they will have to offer, as well as their prices. If the weather or the surf are too dangerous on the day you arrive you can rebook your date without paying again, and no matter when you get a chance to get out there and surf it's certain to be a memorable experience.
