It had been a long time that the Land Rover is ruling in the market over a long period of time and now it had been announced that the company is manufacturing its 4 millionth model which is named as Discovery3. The main reason for the creation of this model is to provide the facility to the foundation which is known as the Born Free Foundation which works in the safeguarding of the animals and deals with their protection and security. Beginning of the company: - The first vehicle of the company was presented in 1948 which is manufactured in Amsterdam. This adventure which was 60 years old was started by Maurice Wilks and his brother Spencer on a Welsh beach. The first concept of these two brothers was the Jeep which could be more versatile and they later named it for the Rover Land. These brothers were known to be the good dealer in the market as they easily guessed the demands and needs of the market and the customers and they provide the models according to that only. Journey of success continues for Land Rover: - Even after the successful 11 years, Land Rover produced over 250,000 cars to help the half million people of the world in the year 1966. But at initial stages there was complaint from the customers that they were not comfortable with the new models of the company. Keeping this in mind, Land Rover launched their new model which was named as Range Rover which takes care of all the comforts of the people. When the company met the hands with the Ford, the Land Rover production levels reached up to the high levels. The market is still in confusion how the company is able to provide the 3 million mark in just a time of 6 years. It had been revealed that the Land Rover is manufacturing 700 cars every day at an average. The history of the Land Rovers is very much related with the Jeep. It was during that time in Wales during the farming process in Jeep in the year 1947; the Wilks brother noticed that there was still a gap in the market of automobiles. Therefore, on a sand beach they outline a famous sketch in the sand which was later known as the Land Rover. From that to the present time, the company had reached at it 4 millionth model. It is interesting to know that the company had reached to its million models in 1976 and since then they had not looked back.
