Incoming Links - SEO - Income

By: Giles Patrickson

There are three things that we are concerned with in regard to any website, new or old. Those three things are incoming links, SEO text, and the income produced by the site. This document will address all three issues and show you how to achieve each one over time.

You may be a web developer. You may just be an owner of a website that you are seeking to achieve a stronger web presence for. In most cases, the desire for this achievement is based on creating some sort of revenue via the web. If you are just looking for internet popularity, the process is the same.

Let's start with the creation of incoming links. You may know them by incoming links, back links, or text links, rest assure that they are all the same type of link. They are a link that is connected to your site from another site. This tells Google that people like you. You are popular on the web. It is like an electronic vote for your site. That being said, there are two ways to go about acquiring these incoming links. You can go on an internet rampage and list your site in every directory that allows links. I do this on a daily basis. One of the best ways to get incoming links is through article directories just like this one. They almost always free. You can usually add a couple of links at the bottom of your article. If your articles provide useful information, then people will find it and maybe even follow the links back to the site. This is exactly how you need to think of back links. Each incoming link is like building a road that leads to your website. The more roads that lead to your door, the more people will find your door. Set aside one hour a day to create incoming links. Persistence will always win. Be persistent.

SEO. This topic covers a large number of evils on the web. I am going to keep it simple and give you a straight forward way to make your website meet good SEO guidelines. Pick out a keyword, or phrase, for search engines to use in order to find your site. Use that keyword, or phrase, in your title. Use it in your description. Repeat it at least 15 times on your homepage. There your done for now.

The income portion of your site is entirely up to you. Does your site sell a product or service? If not, you will have to get creative and find ways to create income. You have worked hard on creating popularity on the web. There is nothing wrong with introducing people to products and services that they are going to buy anyway. You could sell banner space on the top, side, or bottom of your site. You could sell links from your site to other sites. No matter what you choose to do it is going to be a great deal of fun watching your achievements on the web.
