With todays home entertainment systems, many of us get movie rentals regularly. Typically people wait for the rental, as opposed to seeing the film at the cinema. Here is a short list of some of the most popular DVD rentals in October 2008.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ben Garvey, once a bad boy criminal, has turned his life completely around. With a loving family, and steady paycheck, he seems to have found a better life. Then, he loses his job, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. People die during an attempted robbery, and he is convicted, and sentenced to die. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Shockingly, he wakes up bewildered, and in a psych ward. He now struggles for his sanity, and his soul.
LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon is a veteran boarder patrolman in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Now, things in his past are about to rear it's ugly head. He was a member of a violent Los Angeles gang, but he had the courage to leave. When When a chance meeting gives away his location to his old gang, he and his family are in a potentially deadly situation. He is forced risk it all, and make sure that gang leader drake is able to safely move a large drug shipment from Mexico into the U.S.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This movie tells the tale of Scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has been transformed into the Hulk. This movie tells of the marvel comic hero, the Incredible Hulk. This movie stars Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, and Liv Tyler. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. The film genre is sci-fi/action.
DECEPTION: Audiitor for the elite, Jonathan McQuarry meets charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. This is an event that changes his life forever. He learns about "The List", which offers a decadent sexual indulgance. Unfortunately, he is driven into a world of betrayal, treachery and death.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his missing brother, a science professor explores caves in Iceland that leads him to the center of the earth. This is a new version of the original 1959 movie, which was based on the brilliant book by highly acclaimed author Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.
THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberb), with his wife and many other frightened people are escaping Philadelphia by train. The northeastern U.S. has been thrown into chaos. Many people are being overcome by an unusual force, and are dying at their own hands. Will mankind find the solution, or are we witnessing the final acts of man?
IRON MAN: Man of the town, arms builder, Tony Stark is attacked and taken by Afghan insurgents. They try to force him to build missiles for the insurgent group. He was wounded when his convoy was attacked, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To live through this life threatening wound, and escape this predicament, he develops a suit of armor, which makes him virtually invincible. We now have another super hero, Iron Man.
SPEED RACER: The 1990's television cartoon gets real actors. Following an example like the movie The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned into a feature film with actors. Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a huge racing event that his older brother had died racing in. With odds against him, and everything at risk, Speed Racer teams with his enemy of the past, Racer X, in an effort to capture the championship, so the family business won't go under.
