Do You Sweat During Sleep?

By: Karen V. Douglas

Dealing with sweating during sleep is so uncomfortable. Not only can it be very frustrating and uncomfortable for you, but it can be uncomfortable for anyone that you are sleeping with as well. It definitely is less than wonderful for your mattress and your bedding. Sweating during sleep is no fun and you probably want to know if there are any treatments or cures that can help you get rid of this problem.

You'll see that there are a variety of different treatments available. They all have different advantages and disadvantages, but not all of them really deliver on what they promise. Others just aren't worth it, even if they are effective because they are inconvenient, expensive or even potentially harmful and unsafe.

To begin with the medial community provides several different procedures that are designed to help sweating during sleep. One of which is called iontophoresis. It's the process of using quick electrical charges under water targeted to specific places on the body. The first problem with this is that the benefits may only be short lived, and you aren't finding a permanent solution.

It works by preventing your sweat glands from functioning. However, as you can imagine the treatments aren't very fun and they can also be very expensive. Considering these factors, and the short term results most people see, the majority of people don't find this to be worth it.

Another medical treatment that is available today is the use of botox injections to help sweating during sleep. Botox is also supposed to work towards disabling the sweat glands in your body. However, botox is actually a poison and it can hold very serious negative side effects if used improperly. It's also an expensive procedure and the results are never guaranteed.

Just thinking about these treatments for sweating during sleep is probably enough to scare you. The cure almost sounds worse than the problem. These treatments definitely aren't what most people are looking for when they need help for this sweating problem.

There is good news. These aren't your only options for treating sweating during sleep. You don't have to go with poisons or painful treatments that don't work to get rid of this problem. Other options are available.

The best solution is natural treatments which hold no potentially harmful side effects. The holistic approach is cheaper, more effective, pain free and completely safe. If you're looking for the best way to take care of your sweating during sleep, the natural approach is absolutely the way to go.
