Coventry Health Care Completes Acquisition of Vista Healthplans September 10, 2007 Increases Midpoint of 2007 Guidance by $0.02 Coventry Health Care, Inc. (NYSE: CVH) announced today that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Florida Health Plan Administrators, LLC, owner of Vista Healthplans. Given the timing of the closing of the Vista transaction, Coventry is increasing guidance for 2007 GAAP diluted earnings per share to a range of $3.95 to $3.99. Excluding the $0.04 debt refinancing charge incurred during the first quarter, guidance for 2007 diluted earnings per share is a range of $3.99 to $4.03.
