Common sense distance learning ideas the best solution for the best solution to suit your needs

Distance learning programs can be propagated using either audio or visual media. You can listen to an instructor through an audiotape in a distance learning setting. Satellite broadcasts are also one way through which distance learning can be propagated.

The tuition fee for an online distance learning program is generally higher than an on-campus tuition structure. In reality, the cost of running an online program can exceed and usually does, a campus program. But of course, this is not the case for every online distance learning program.

Distance learning is study made easy. You can be working two jobs and studying at the same time. When you return home, you have your correspondence waiting for you on the mail; you don’t have to print them out, you can just read them on the computer, do the assignments, and email them back. You also have the luxury of reaching out as far as you care for any king of learning aid at your disposal.

Distance learning is one incredible way of saving yourself a lot of trouble. Instead of actually living on the campus, or driving several hours to make a class, you could do it all in comfort, and still get the certificates. All you have to do is register online, pay your dues, and reap the awards… er, rewards.

Unsurprisingly, many distance learning scholars prefer to learn via asynchronous means because then, they can study at their own times and in their own ways. One could consider this lax or undisciplined, but it does not matter to the school so long as the student pays their fees, and does the tests the way they desire.

A common practice is to have students meet at a variety of designated places for their tests and exams, as in school. The difference with distance learning is that the person who invigilates may not be a lecturer at, just a paid, trusted representative of the school or professor. This way at least, you can be sure that not everyone is cheating.

Video conferencing refers to the audiovisual dissemination of the educational information. With video conferencing, students of long distance education can both see and hear the instructor. Video conferencing can be started with a computer and a webcam.

If the teacher and student cannot be online at the same time, some form of asynchronous technology will have to be used to correspond. CD dubbings, email, video or audio cassettes that are still in use despite improved technology, are not out of the question. The important thing is that the teacher teaches and the students learn – everybody gets to play their own roles.
