Angelique's Business Tips - Biblical Success In Business

By: Angela Watkins

First, I will share with you Scriptures from The Holy Bible for Success In Business: Review Gen. 24:12, 1 Chr. 4:10 (the later part of the scripture reads and God granted him that which he requested); Ps 90:17, 118:27 (the later part of the scripture reads send now prosperity) and Neh. 1:11.

I like to help others brainstorm on whether or not a home business is right for them. Some obstacles that may occur when one partner in a marriage start a small business or home business is lack of financial support; so a person should understand the problems that may arise.

So often, I am reminded that people want a business of their own to make money, but without a business plan to control their own finances, the expenses involved causes one to lose money instead.

Always make sure that there is a real product or real service before getting involved in any business venture.

Personal Business Plan Goals: Help those in need (church, individuals, etc.) by teaching skills that will empower them.

Objectives: Select, test and promote programs that you truly believe in and love. Recommend programs already tested and promoted for consideration:

Continuing Education

Health & Business Maintenance

Business Support Programs

Optional Programs for personally desired products and services Advertise Monitor and update your business plan as needed

Develop a Personal Vision and Mission Plan. Learn to make friends, dress like a professional (I did not say purchase expensive clothes; use what you have) and promote your business where ever you go.

Learn to take advantage of every situation and stop looking over individuals because they are different. Learn to become a positive thinker.

Radiate energy which will show real beauty. Act as a mentor, advise and encourage all those "willing" to help themselves.

I do not tolerate negative friends. Boost your self-confidence and self-image by challenging yourself to accomplish "Little" things.

I learned to barter my services. I barter my home made pies for printing of business cards, letterheads, calendars, envelopes and placing photos on disk in certain formats.

Barter is one of the oldest methods of conducting business and it is when you buy what you need and pay for it with your unsold or unused products and services without the use of cash. It was once told that the Asian barter volume was 90 Billion a year; I do not really know how accurate this is.

Marketing:

Maybe, you are a writer and you could obtain free marketing via of preparing articles for other people's websites as well as gaining tons of recognition and a global presence.

Trade(swap) links with other website owners that attract the market that you wish to target.

Great Publications that I used in the past to gain knowledge: Business Week and Compliments Booklets as part of my NASE membership a couple of years ago.

If you are serious about starting a business it would be great to see if you need a business permit. Do not quit your job too quick.

You might think on publishing a monthly print media newsletter and or a weekly electronic newsletter.

Test Time No one will know your scorce but you; this test was designed by me (and printed in October/November 1999 and May 2000).
