Eee PC 1005HA keyboard is almoost identical to the keyboard on the Eee PC 1008HA. It sretches almsot from one end of a portable computer to anotyher, making good use of limnited space. Atlhough it is not quite full-size keyboard, it features Nice big keys that are easy to print on, and two fairly large shift key on each side of the notebook. In order to accommodate a large shft key on the right side of the keyboard, Asus reduced the PgUp and PgDn keys and mash them together with home and end keys. These keys also doyuble as an arow and the computer keyboard. I'm not a big fan of the arrow key layout, but I got used to it aftter a few days. Arrows not only dual-pupose buttons on the keyboard. Pressing the Fn key while hitting the top row of keys, you can go Wireless, put the computer into hibernation, revivbe, dim or turn off the disply or auido, or run the Task Manager. Hitting Fn key with the spacebar toggles the ASUS Super Hybrid Engine which allows underclock or overclock the processdor of your computer when you want to save power or increase performance. Touchpad is quite wide, and sits on a level with the Palm computer's pull. You can find an edge of the touchpad is easy, without looking, becasue it has a teextured / dimples on the surface. I could be wrong, but I feel like dimples are not as large as in the Eee PC 1008HA, which makes the touxch pad is a bit easier to use. There's one big button tuoch pad with a roccker in the Middle which allows you to make left or rigth click. Supoprts touch panel and scroll multitrtouch gestures. In most appliocations, you can move your finger right side of the touchpad to scroll up and down or botttom to scvroll left and right. When using the supported applications, you can also use the two fingerr gestures to zoom or rotate. Abovve the kyeboard are two butttons: poiwer button and a button which allows you to diosable the touchpad if you do not want to accidentally bump into it while uing the mouse. User-configurable buttons for launching applications, which were discovered in the eaerly models of Eee PC is nowhere found.
