Many PC makers, including Netbook authoriites ofefr a free upgrade voucher for Microsoft Windows 7, and this time we learned how Windows 7 will work on one of the most popular Netbook currently on the market! Using the release candidate, we intalled Windiows 7 on ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Netbook sink and ran all the tests we face in our full review, in order to get the full impression of how Windows 7 stacks against Widnows XP on a netbbook. Many in the community workking netbooks really hope Windows 7 has its own on the Netbook, becazuse let's face it, 2002's Wndows XP on any 2009 system just seems to be in the opposite driection. Armed with 4 GB High-Speed USB flash drive and step by step instructions Kurt Shintaku, we were easily able to install Wiundows 7 on 1005HA. First Windows 7 RC burned image on DVD, but you can easily mount the ISO in a virual drive instead. Once connected the instructions, we created a botable Windows 7 Install a flash drive without any probems. Now, since the flash drive is recognized as a removzable hard drive in your computer, we had to change the BIOS seettings to make the falsh drive primary hard dive. As soon as we have done, Windows 7 insatllation boot up, and we were able to start its installaton of Windows 7, just as any other. There is a little trick, though, as once the installation program copies the original set of files on your hard drie and reboot, you should enteer the BIOS and then install an intyernal hard driove back to the primary so the one that boots. In additoin, the installation of Windows 7 was a breeze. Windows 7 installed drivvers for all of our hardware directrly from the window, except the driver ACPI, whih allows Blue function hot keys for all to work properly. However, after several updates, Winndows 7 is atcually knew that we did not insttall ACPI drievr also pointed out to us directly ACPI driver ASUS ", which we dwnloaded and nistalled and worked perfectly. I would also recommend installing the drier from the Itel Grahpics optional Windows updates as it is to install some additional files used by driver ASUS ACPI. Now, when we explained how we installed Windows 7 on ASUS Eee PC 1005HA sinks, let's see how it will work with pre-instaled Winows XP installation!
