Advocates Forget To Win

By: GARKO

The best people one will meet is activists because their focus is beyond their immediate needs and to the greater good and they are willing to pour themselves into a cause that they believe will help mankind. But activists do have a particular liability in common that we should confront and acknowledge for our own benefit. We love the fight so much that we sometimes forget to win .
I was a member of an organization composed of leaders of various activist groups protesting various things and it seemed that the height of their accomplishment was that once in a while one of their members would go out and get himself arrested for protesting something.
Unfortunately, though, this accomplishes absolutely nothing for anybody except the individual who gets himself arrested . And what it accomplishes for that individual is more delusionary than actual. He gets to feel like some great martyr for the cause and position himself in history with Jesus and Joan of Arc because he spent a night in the slammer with a bunch of drunks and would be car thieves.
Let me illustrate my point .
Do you remember watching Bugs Bunny cartoons or the Three Stooges (come on, admit it!) where they do this gag of hammering on the door to some room they frantically need to get into and someone walks by them through an open door to one side or another of that door and goes right into the room with no effort whatsoever?
It can be like that for activists, too .
For someone with a cause to beat the drum for, getting out there and “beating that drum” can be a huge kick, an unbeatable high derived from confronting the evil, getting a chance to express their deepest feelings and concerns and be heard while standing with their brothers and sisters who are also fighting for the same cause. It is an electrification that only someone who does it with their heart and soul poured into the activity can dig . The larger portion of society gets their kicks by being spectators at concerts, sporting events and so forth and they think that is life. No, life is getting out there and doing something yourself!
BUT, and this is a huge “but”, we too often forget to just WIN!
As an example, take the Water4Gas system which is a real answer to alternative fuel for automobiles and helps drivers get better MPG, a happier car engine and also helps the environment with cleaner emissions .
If you were to pour water into your car engine you would find that a ton of black gunk shoots out the tailpipe. Unscrupulous mechanics sometimes do this for some old clunker that they need to get through and emissions test! . BUT, Water4Gas does the same thing over a couple o weeks after installation but it is permanent!
So the point is that all of this activism for alternative clean renewable fuel and energy has led us to biofuel and now we have a global food shortage and 10 to 20 million people dieing this year alone because crops were used for gas instead of food! Amazingly, biofuel from corn, soy and other such crops doesn’t even better the environmental situation, it worsens it!
This tremendous outpouring of concern, stirring of hysteria over global warming and energetic activism is now resulting in death when we could all very easily and profitably win with the Water4Gas system instead !
And then these activists can refocus their energies towards other vital issues such as the restoration of the Bill of Rights, habeas corpus and due process and the defeat of Big Brother surveillance and the National ID card in America .
