Hi and welcome to my first steps on the path of self-improvement and independence. I write these articles to share my journey, and help others like me out there. When you want to improve your life, it will be linked to how much you understand of life. You don't need to be some guru who has reached some stage of enlightenment, but you should now some 'tricks' and hidden insights that help you to unlock the mysteries of life, unlock that door that leads to your potential. In order to achieve such insights I started reading many books and articles. Summarizing all the books I read would be too long for the purpose of this article, but I can introduce you to the 5 articles (/blogs) out there that will change my life: 1. The rules of life (http://therulesoflife-cheriecarterscott.blogspot.com/). Based on the books of Cherie Carter Scott, the rules of life introduces you to the 10 core concepts you should understand when living your life. He focuses on life as a journey of learning, and assures you not to be afraid of failure or not knowing something before you are forced to act. 2. This brings me to the issue of self-confidence (http://self-confidenceandassertiveness.blogspot.com/) . In order to be a confident learner (someone who is confident at failing) you need to learn confidence. This blog gives me all the steps in order to grow the confidence to strike out there and DO something. 3. All the confidence in the world won't help us though if we are pigheaded. We need to build in the ability for change at the core of our very buying. Learning means constantly inventing yourself, and this blog helps you to keep your ideas fresh and oriented towards innovation (http://changeandinnovation.blogspot.com/) 4. When you focus on the lessons of this blog, you will have a clear grip on yourself and fulfilled the Greek adagio 'Know thyself'. But this is a social world, full of weird and wonderful creatures. How do we get a grip on what everybody else is about? Eric Berne provided a map of human interactions which he called Transactional Analysis (http://transactionalanalysisericberne.blogspot.com/) . It explains why people behave the way they do and that in fact they are playing games. Seeing through the games will give you social control and independence 5. This blog is great at implementing the Transactional Analysis lessons to the everyday business world (http://entrepreneurialmarketing.blogspot.com/). It looks into the daily life of the entrepreneur and the problems he can face with his clients. It also has a great collection of fresh business ideas. These are the blogs that will shape my mind. Next article I will expand on the type of business I am hoping to start, and how I will position myself in the world. Until then, I hope these articles help you to relate to yourself and the others around you.
