"Life is a great and wondrous mystery, and the only thing we know that we have for sure is what is right here and right now. Don't miss it." - Leo Buscaglia The world is a wondrous place. It contains remarkable people, places, events and occurrences. It contains hopes, achievements, surprises and serendipity (the phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for). It also contains bad people, places and events; and hate, disappointments, loss and unfairness. The challenge is to always see and appreciate that which is good in spite of that which is bad. As you make your choices in this wondrous world, do so with confidence. Explore and enjoy it in your very own way. You have much in common with others but you are also a unique individual. You have your very own strengths. What works for others may not necessarily work for you and vice versa. Just because someone appears to know all of the answers, it doesn’t mean that they do. While others may appear confident they are often scared and insecure. Don’t be intimidated. Endeavour to have fun. Fun is a very important part of your life. Yet, our work obsessed society often denies the importance of fun and relegates its importance far below that of work. Fun is a state of mind. It's a time when you will feel most alive. Unfortunately, it's something you may take for granted and may forget to do. Also, many people believe that fun is unproductive, and therefore unimportant. This may make you feel guilty for having fun. Your brain was evolved to have fun. Therefore, fun and play is instinctive and fundamental to human existence. Because of its usefulness in developing problem solving and adaptive abilities; it is one of the evolutionary mechanisms that have enabled the human species to develop to its current state. Fun also relieves stress, builds self-esteem and adds balance to your life. Fun is good for the mind and the body. And it’s fun! Do not rank fun and play as a low priority. It is very important to your well being.
